It features an elegant curved case and wonderful two-tone silver dial with gold accents. It is often referred to as the "Tegolino", thanks to its resemblance to a famous Italian rectangular cake. It is a vintage Patek that embodies class. It's thin case slides nicely under a shirt cuff, and doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself. Patek produced this watch from the mid 1930's until the late'50's.
The cases for the 425 were made by Markowsky and are slightly curved so to be comfortable on the wrist of the wearer. It is powered by one of Patek Philippe's illustrious 9'90 movements, so well designed that Patek used it for more than 40 years. The 9'90 Patek Philippe movement is a tonneau shaped movement introduced in 1934 and was fitted into many famous Patek Philippe watches such as the "Banana" ref. 2442, the "Eiffel Tower " ref. It has all original parts down to the hands and the Patek signed winding crown. Its 18K gold case is in honest condition with light indentions along the left side. It retains a strong hallmark. Its silver dial has previously been partially expertly refinished - retains it original raised enamel Patek Philippe signature. One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a new old stock mineral crystal to give a perfect view of the dial even to the edge. Its extremely high grade movement is keeping time. For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment. If you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives for it for you, please inquire.

We don't recommend getting a vintage watch wet - and really don't recommend showering or diving with it - even one that was originally designed to be waterproof. Wait until you see how big the box is that your watch is coming in!
Please do remember though that while we do our very best and have careful procedures and quality control inspections - we will again fully re-test the proper functioning of your watch after you pay, right before we send it to you - from time to time some courier workers don't handle packages the way we think that they would want their own packages to be handled. Watches are ultra-precision instruments, and the timekeeping of most is governed by a small spring that is only about 1/8 the thickness of a human hai r. The vast majority of our watches arrive safely and problem free. But even on a bad day there's still good news...
