A rare, superb old English certified baroque Cramer style viol in bow made by John Dodd ca. 1780, branded on the stick above the frog and on the frog. John Dodd was a superb English master. His work is very personal and classy, elegant and precise.
This is a superb examples in pristine, collector's state of preservation. It is also a FIRST CLASS sounding violin bow. The frog and button are bone.
