A very fine Italian violin by Natale Carletti, ca. A very fine certified Italian violin made by Natale Carletti made ca. 1935- 1940 in Pieve di Cento (Bologna), Italy. Born in 1904, Natale was a pupil of his father Carlo Carletti.
Natale was also an accomplished cellist. (when his father passed away). Natale Carletti took over the father's shop. In 1949 he has won a gold medal at Cremona competition. This fine violin was made with inspiration of Guarneri model.
The quality of the unpolished red varnish on top of golden ground, also the texture and composition of it is of very high level and beautiful in appearance. The sound is charming with wonderful range of colors, superb timbre and great projecting power. The length over the back is 35.9 cm. The instrument is in very fine state of preservation.
