Heavy 18ct Gold English Freesprung Hunting Cased Pocket Watch. Very heavy 18ct gold English free-sprung 3/4 plate fusee hunting cased pocket watch. Signed white enamel dial with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, and blue steel hands. The movement; 3/4 plate numbered with large diamond end stone. It's unusually highly jeweled for an English watch.
The movement is signed Le Cheminant Wimpole St London. This watchmaker is well known for having made very high quality timepieces including chronometers and deck watches for the Royal Navy. The watch is of a particularly heavy gauge and made by one of England's finest casemakers of that period Fred Thoms F.
Winding through the gold inner cuvette. The case and movement are all in excellent condition with no dings or dents. The case opens freely and easily with no damage to the hinges, and as expected keeps EXCELLENT time. Weight with the movement removed 81g.
