A very fine French certified violin made by H. Silvestre in Paris in 1888, as indicated on the original label, also branded to the upper block and to the center of the back. This is SUPERB example of the maker's work with indication of taking 1st price in 1889 Paris competition.

This instrument carrying the maker's. Inscription pointing to the order for 16th birthday of the noble man. The workmanship of this instrument is of the highest technical and artistic level.
