This is the Original (1sh) 1957 movie poster ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS. To promote this movie when it was released in 1957.

It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Richard Garland, Pamela Duncan, Russell Johnson, Leslie Bradley, Mel Welles, and Richard H. It was directed by Roger Corman.

This restored movie poster is Flat and measures 22" x 28". It is called a Half Sheet. It is being stored Flat and it will be mailed Flat. We believe by storing and mailing it Flat that this will better help tp preserve its integrity and grade. Prior to restoration, the poster was Folded.

Most original movie posters pre-1985 are Folded. This is not considered a Flaw or a defect.

This original movie poster is graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. Prior to restoration this original movie poster was graded a C6 Fine. Restoration corrected chips and wear along the borders, pinholes, and minor staining in the image area.

The crab's features have been enhanced to correct minor toning, which is loss of brilliance of color, not loss of color. The poster now displays beautifully.

Probably one of the better images of the sci-fi and horror original movie posters of the glorious 1950s and 1960s. We believe that the original 1957 Half Sheet movie poster.

The superior condition of C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint adds to its value and investment value.
