HAN SOLO WANTED Original 1970s Poster, 11 x 17.5, C8.5 Very Fine/Near Mint

This is the Original (1sh) 1970s Wanted Poster of HAN SOLO from STAR WARS. It is an unlicensed original poster from the 1970s. It is from the collection of the late John L. Williams, a noted Star Wars collector. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction, as you may see many such reproductions out there for sale.

The movie stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fischer, Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Alec Guinness, Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Billy Dee Williams, and David Prowse (as Darth Vader with voice by James Earl Jones). STAR WARS was directed by George Lucas.

This unrestored poster comes Flat, and measures 11" x 17.50". It will be mailed Flat. It could be mailed Rolled, but we feel that if it is mailed Flat that will better maintain the integrity of the poster. This original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc. The flaws that exist are almost all production flaws which would garner this item a C9 Near Mint, but the slight wear/bends at the 2 corner tips (albeit very minor) probably can lower it to a C8.5. I guess I feel that a C9 grade Near Mint is a very high standard to meet and I rarely grade any poster or Lobby or Window Card that high. Either way, it is in beautiful condition and is immediately ready to be framed and displayed. We believe that this Wanted Poster of Han Solo has very good investment value as the original movie - and its many sequels, etc. Have permanently etched their place in cinematic history. And it is a departure from the regular STAR WARS original movie posters and will certainly create interest and is a excellent addition to any STAR WARS collection.
