Lady Albert very fine Gold Filled working pocket watch checkerboard three tone
This 1930s Lady Albert pocket watch has a beautiful 3-tone 14k gold filled case. The body of the case is yellow gold in color with rose gold, silver and green-gold filled accents. The engraved imagery has a checkerboard styled design with finely engraved geometric and floral details.
The watch has a nice clean white face with black and red numbers and black hands. Also are words, "Lady Albert". The pocketwatch is currently running, but has unknown service history. The movement is marked "Lady Albert, Swiss" (no serial number). The case is marked, "Guaranteed 14k (GF) Essex Superior 25 Years, 990399 (case number)".
The front has a very fancy monogram, in which I could not decipher. The inside is hand engraved beautifully with script name, May. The sides of the case have a beaded edge. The bottom has a small loop for attaching a watch chain or fob.
The crystal is intact and the latches are all in working condition. There are expected fine hairline scratches to the outer gold filled case.
Inside, there are some dark dots, engraved numbers, hashmarks and a notch out of the inner edge (probably from being gold-tested). There may be other minor vintage wear from decades of use.
