THUNDERBALL Original French Grande Movie Poster, C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint

This is the Original (1sh) movie poster THUNDERBALL - JAMES BOND. It was released in France to continue to promote the movie in 1978. Previously we had it listed as "1980's" (exact year unknown). However, we consulted with a James Bond original movie poster expert who was able to identify the exact year.

I wish I were that smart!!! The original movie theatrical release was in 1965. This poster is not a reprint nor a reproduction.

The movie stars Sean Connery, Claudine Auger , Adolfo Celi, Luciana Paluzzi, Rik Van Nutter, Guy Doleman, Molly Peters, Martine Beswick, Bernard Lee, Desmond Llewelyn, and Lois Maxwell. It was directed by Terence Young. This unrestored movie poster is Folded and measures 45.75" x 63". The poster has 3 vertical and 3 horizontal folds. Most original movie posters pre-1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or a defect. This original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. It is difficult to find any pre-1985 original movie posters graded C10 (Mint). This original movie poster is immediately ready for framing and display. The poster appears flawless and the dramatic underwater scenes are classic for Bond fans. The poster is a full bleed, meaning its images go all the way to the edges of the poster, there is no border.
